Our last post on Garcinia Cambogia got a lot of people talking. There’s a lot of controversy around the topic of weight loss and how to actually do it. Some people talk about eating fewer calories. Other people talk about working out more. You might be wondering which is the right way.

Well, a lot of our listeners chimed in and it seems like the general consensus here at Big Rock country is that you really gotta do both. If you want to lose weight and see good results then you have to put forth the effort.

Why You Need Both Diet and Exercise

If you just work out, sure you’ll build muscle. But, you’ll never get that six pack that you want. Also if you only diet, you’ll only get thin and not have much muscle mass. This is important for both men and women as women need to have some muscle mass to have a nice shape to them to. You cant just diet yourself down and expect to look good. You see a lot of people walking around there plenty skinny. But, they don’t look very good. That’s because you don’t have any muscle mass.

A human being is supposed to have some muscle mass on them and that’s what looks attractive. Losing Weight with Garcinia Cambogia

If you’ve been following our DJs, you likely know that Timmy has been trying to lose weight for several years now. Timmy has tried it all: fad diets, South Beach, Paleo, etc. But it really seems that the only way to lose weight is to simply eat less calories than you burn. Sounds simple right? Well, it is. But it’s not easy.

Eating Habits Play a Big Part.

If you’re used to eating a certain way, it can be hard to break those routines. It makes the simple equation of fewer calories in than out a very difficult goal to obtain. Also, exercise isn’t just something you do. You have to learn how. It’s a worthy thing to lean, after all. But, it takes time. You have to learn the proper form. You have to know how to warm up properly, especially in Chile’s cold weather. You can even time your macros and calories strategically before or after working out. It can get very complicated.

garcinia cambogia pictureBut, the simple answer still holds true. You have to consume less calories than you burn. This is called a caloric deficit, and is the only actual way to lose weight. Granted, all those other fad diets and workouts are aimed at accomplishing exactly that: getting a caloric deficit. Method #1 – Eating Less Calories w/ Garcinia Cambogia

Consuming fewer calories lowers the amount of calories that you have to burn in order to be in a caloric deficit. This is pretty easy to understand. If you only take in 2,000 calories of food, but you burn 2600 by just your normal daily activity, then you’re in a deficit and you’ll lose weight. Method #2 – Exercise to Burn Off Calories

You can also do exercises like cardio, weight lifting, HIIT to burn the calories off that you’re consuming. For example, if you burn 2,600 normally but burn an extra 400 calories in the gym, then anything you eat under 3,000 calories in a caloric deficit. Which is Better? Method #1 or Method #2

Ok, so which is better? Eating less or working out more? Ideally, you would do both. But if I had to pick one, it would definitely be Method # 1. Why? It’s pretty easy to answer. 2 Subway cookies are 300 calories. Doing a 2 hour high intensity swimming session will burn 600 calories. What’s easier? NOT eating 2 cookies, or scheduling 2 hours of swimming in your busy day and then actually DOING 2 hours of intense swimming? I think it’s just a little easier to pass on the cookies.
